Today is my first lecture for the Innovation and technology class with Major Jasmy. He gives a lecture about IT in education. Technology is a word that was taken from Greek techn He asked a question to us what is technology? In my opinion, technology is not only a machine but it is also how it changes our life easier than before. Technology connected us from people that are far away from us and make students' life easier because we can learn at any time and anywhere. Golbraith said technology is a skilled knowledge that not only includes scientific knowledge only. The definition of technology is not only tools or machine it is included the main process, and how we achieved our objective on a tool. The element in technology is an idea, arts, guidance, science, and knowledge. Also, technology innovation provides many opportunities and advantages in our daily life. For example, students nowadays are very connected to gadgets such as smartphones, tab, and laptops. This technology provides fun learning, interesting and engaging, especially for students nowadays on the latest technology. Besides, they can learn at any time using their gadgets. Next, this reduces the need for using textbooks and other printed material, the teacher does not need to print worksheets every day and it can be cost savings. It also makes it easier to collaborate and effectively to communicate between teachers and students. Teachers today play a big role to provide Through finding new and better ways of educating students and also providing the knowledge that students need for their future. I think that as a future teacher we need to keep following how technology and innovation evolving because nowadays student is very connected with their gadget so to attract their attention we need to learn this subject as our preparation to teach them in the future.
